I’m Ashley Thompson, the Program Coordinator for the Ole Miss campus visit program.
I’m a 2007 and 2009 graduate of The University of Mississippi where I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science
and a Master of Arts degree in Higher Education/Student Personnel.
During my time at Ole Miss, I participated in many activities on and off campus and had an absolute blast!
One of my favorite experiences was playing soccer for the Lady Rebels soccer team.
There is nothing greater than Friday night under the lights at an Ole Miss Lady Rebels soccer game!
While I have lived all over including Jacksonville, FL, Sacramento, CA, Virginia Beach, VA, Washington D.C., and Memphis, TN,
I still believe Ole Miss is one of the greatest places.
My top three favorite things about Ole Miss are the beautiful campus, friendly people, and athletic traditions.
I chose Ole Miss after being recruited to play soccer.
Not being familiar with the area, I had no idea what I was in store for.
As soon as I saw the campus, I was sold!
It obviously made an impression since I am still here two degrees later.
Fun Facts:
Pets: I do not have any pets yet, but hopefully I will soon have a Beagle.
Secret indulgence/guilty pleasure(s): Any kind of ice cream
Favorite Food(s): Mexican food, pizza and ice cream (doesn’t sound very healthy for a former athlete, I know!)
If I had to eat dinner with one person who would it be and why? I would eat dinner with my uncle Jerry who passed away.
I never really knew him but I believe we would have had a lot in common.
If I were trapped on an island with one person who would it be and why? My husband, JT, of course
Favorite place you have traveled to: Virgin Islands
Favorite Book(s): I don’t think I could pick just one!
