I'm Karinlee Brister, Regional Admissions Counselor for southwest Mississippi, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Georgia.  I received a Bachelor of Science in hospitality management in May 2008 from Ole Miss.  I’m also a graduate of Southwest Mississippi Community College where I was student body president, Hall of Fame, and Miss SMCC.  During my time at Ole Miss, I was an Ole Miss Ambassador, honored with Who's Who Among America's College Students and the National Dean's Lists, a member of Women’s Glee, and a member of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity for Women.  I am from McComb, Mississippi.  I joined the recruiting team in 2008.

My favorite thing about Ole Miss and the reason I chose to attend UM is “The Ole Miss Family,” which is my name for the warm and friendly culture that you can experience everyday on our campus.  It is a welcoming and interesting feeling that everyone seems to experience no matter what their background.

Fun Facts:
Secret indulgence/guilty pleasure(s):  musical theatre and iTunes
Favorite Food(s):  caramel... followed closely by salad and sushi
If I had to eat dinner with one person who would it be and why?  John Fitzgerald Kennedy-thirty-fifth president of the United States.  Through his short political career and legendary family, he proved to be one of the most influential leaders in our history.  I think that he will forever be an inspiration to young people to pursue their goals and dreams.
If I were trapped on an island with one person who would it be and why?  Albert Einstein—he could figure out a way to get me home to Oxford.
Favorite place you have traveled to:  Chicago, IL
Favorite Book(s):  Anything by William Faulkner and Laura Weisberger’s Everyone Worth Knowing
