I’m Sarah Sapp, the Assistant Director of Enrollment Services for Communications.  I received my Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing communications in 2003 and my Master of Arts in journalism in 2009.  During my time at Ole Miss, I was active in the Pride of the South Marching Band, Tau Beta Sigma, Angel Flight-Silver Wings, The Daily Mississippian and the American Advertising Federation.  A self-proclaimed misplaced magnolia, I was born in Port Huron, Michigan, lived in up-state New York for five years, but spent most of my adolescence in Brookhaven, Mississippi.  I now reside in Oxford, MS.  I joined the Ole Miss recruiting team in 2005.

My favorite thing about Ole Miss was how well the faculty knew me.  I love that my professors knew me well enough to pick my papers out of a stack of 50 and say, “Yep, this one is Sarah’s.”  I chose Ole Miss because my big sister was here, and I always had an amazing time when I visited her.  I also really loved the Pride of the South marching band, and they gave me a good scholarship.

Fun Facts:
Pets:  Two cats—Molly and Sugar (namesakes from Marilyn Monroe’s "Some Like It Hot”)
Secret indulgence/guilty pleasure(s):  listening to Brittney Spears
Favorite Food(s):  Everything my husband cooks—it is a toss up between tamales and sushi.
If I had to eat dinner with one person who would it be and why?  Leonard Cohen—best lyricist of all time hands down.  I’m a sucker for a great writer.
If I were trapped on an island with one person who would it be and why?  It’s got to be my sister.  We can have fun no matter what!
Favorite place you have traveled to:  Washington, D.C.
Favorite Book(s):  Kurt Vonnegut’s Slapstick
