"Be a UM Student for a Day" (selected Mondays)
offers high school seniors the chance to attend
classes with UM students, participate in information
sessions, take a campus tour, eat lunch in the
Student Union, visit a residence hall, talk with a
student panel, and meet with campus representatives.
Registration for "Be a UM Student for a Day" will open
six weeks prior to the event.

Individual appointments are not scheduled through the "Be a UM Student for a Day" program,
however, students may schedule appointments for themselves after the program ends at 2:45 p.m.
Prior to the program, students should contact the department they desire to visit directly. To obtain
departmental phone numbers, call campus information at (662) 915-7211.
Dates and Reservations
Registration for Special Visit Programs will open six weeks prior to the event. Registration should be completed
online through the prospective student's VIP page.
Each session is limited to 30 students. Space will be reserved on a FIRST-RESPOND, FIRST-RESERVED basis.
Sessions fill up quickly, and we cannot make exceptions once a session is filled.
Registration closes five days prior to the event.
- September 24, 2007— Registration will open August 13, 2007
- October 15, 2007 — Registration will open September 3, 2007
- February 18, 2008 — Registration will open January 7, 2008
- March 3, 2008 — Registration will open January 21, 2008
- April 7, 2008 — Registration will open February 25, 2008
Though the program date you are looking for may be full, please be assured that all prospective students and their families are welcome to visit us any weekday that the University is open. You can meet with an admissions counselor, tour the campus with a student guide, speak with financial aid representatives, view a residence hall room, or even sit in on a class.
