Prospective students and their families are encouraged to visit the Ole Miss campus. Itís best to make arrangements in advance, but you are invited to drop in if you are in the area.

Campus visits can be scheduled to begin between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and on selected Saturdays throughout the year.

If you are on campus for a weekday visit, we’d
be happy to help arrange for you to

• Meet with an admissions counselor
• Meet with a financial aid counselor
• Tour the campus with a student guide
• Attend a class (the best times are Monday
  through Friday mornings)
• Meet with a professor
• Meet Ole Miss students
• Meet with representatives from various student
  activities such as band, chorus, cheerleading
  squad and dance team

With advance notice, arrangements can usually be made for you to stay overnight (Sunday through Thursday nights only) in a residence hall with a Student Ambassador host. Please be sure to bring towels and a sleeping bag or linens. Like class attendance, this option is available only when school is in session and before exams begin.

The University of Mississippi is located in Oxford, which is approximately 75 miles from Memphis, Tennessee, and 170 miles from Jackson, Mississippi, the state capital. The university is easily accessible from Interstate 55 and is less than a six-hour drive from such major cities as Atlanta, New Orleans and Nashville.
