Rebel Challenge Course
The Rebel Challenge Course at the University of Mississippi was constructed in November of 2008 and became fully operational on February 15, 2009; the course is located on campus by the Blackburn-McMurray Outdoor Sports Complex (intramural fields) off Hathorne Road. The course was funded through generous grants from the Ole Miss Parents Association (Parents Leadership Council) and from the Office of Greek Affairs. The remainder of the funding was provided by the Department of Campus Recreation.
The Rebel Challenge course is strictly operated and supervised by trained facilitators within the Ole Miss Outdoors program. The mission of the Rebel Challenge Course is to provide your group with opportunities to accomplish new and exciting adventures together! Whether your goal is to improve communication, build problem-solving skills, enhance teamwork, and/or have a fun experience, the Ole Miss Outdoors staff is ready to tailor an experience to meet the needs of your group. The Rebel Challenge Course is designed to create environments and scenarios that are challenging but possible to complete utilizing group collaboration and individual inner strength. We operate under the “challenge by choice” principle, in which participants may choose not to participate in any event or element at any time. We guarantee a safe and quality experience!
