S >> INTERNAL ADVISORY BOARD >> EXTERNAL ADVISORY BOARD
The Internal Advisory Board (IAB) provides in-house expertise and guidance that is vital for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of center activities. The IAB works closely with Dr. Cutler, the COBRE P.I., to: 1) encourage and assist in faculty development and mentoring, 2) evaluate and recommend replacement investigators, small grants, internship and fellowship awardees, and 3) bring forth and implement recommendations to further promote research at the center.
The role of the External Advisory Board (EAB) is to provide constructive evaluations of the scientific progress of the center and to offer advice on scientific matters. The responsibilities of the EAB include: evaluating the individual research projects, evaluating the progress of the junior investigators toward acquiring independent status, evaluating the development of the center, and providing other advice and information on resources that will help advance the development of the center.
