Catalog Description of Course Objectives Ecosystem structure
and function of streams with emphasis on primary literature and application
of field methods.
Required course text Allan, J. David 1995. Stream ecology: Structure and function of running waters. Chapman and Hall.
Course grading Grades will be based on class discussion of assigned chapters and other readings (33%), a term paper (33%), and a final examination (34%). Your grade will be determined on the following scale: A, > 90%; B, 80-89%; C, 70-79%; D, 60-69%; F, < 60%.
