Grades

Grading Scale for HIS 105 and HIS 106  -  Grading Scale for LIBA 102  -  Grading Scale for G ST 201

In the interest of security and privacy, individual grades will be posted only in the
"Tools" area of the Blackboard site for each course.

In order to determine your progress in class at any given time, go to the Blackboard page for this course and click on the "Tools" button.  Then click on "View Grades."   Look for the column titled "Weighted Total."   The number in that column represents your current average in the class.

If all of your grades are not yet posted on the Blackboard, you can still figure out your grade by using a simple formula.  Get out your calculator and all of the assignments that have been handed back to you.  Add up the numeric grades (the top numbers) on all of your tests or other assignments, then add up the total number of points possible (the bottom numbers) for each assignment.  Then do a little division:

points earned  ÷  points possible  =  grade

Your answer will be expressed as a decimal, which corresponds to a grade on the 100 percent scale:
1.00-.90 = A,  .89-.80 = B,  .79-.70 = C,  .69-.60 =  D,  <.59 = F

For more information about grades, see the FAQ page of this site.
