Administration 391
Grades Due to the sensitive nature of student progress, a scores will be reported through Blackboard. No other material will be distributed through Blackboard other than grades. Grades will be frequently updated (we do this so you do not have to expend your precious energy on such pursuits). Toward the end of the semester the course coordinator will post students' progress up to the comprehensive Exam III complete with the percentages needed to achieve an A, B, and or C in the course.Student Evaluation: Your grade for this course be will determined as follows: Examinations 70%
Field Assignments 20%
Quizzes (announced or unannounced) and class participation 10% There will be three (3) content examinations during this course. Items included in each of the three examinations will be taken from both assigned readings and class presentations/discussions. Not everything in your readings will be discussed in class. As a result, if there is something in the texts or the other assigned readings that you do not understand, please bring it up in class or make an appointment with that day’s presenter. The date of each examination is provided by the Office of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. Because PHAD391 is a 75 minute/meeting course, students will have no more than 1 hour and 20 minutes for the completion of Examination I and Examination II. The course coordinator will begin time once ALL STUDENTS have received their examination booklets, response sheets, and Scantron sheets. Examination III is COMPREHENSIVE and will be held during the assigned final examination period in TCRC 1044. Two-thirds of Examination III will come from material covered in Content Area III. The remaining subject matter (33%) will come from Content Areas I, II, and III in fair balance. The course coordinator is responsible for constructing each examination, although input will be sought from each of the presenters. The format for the examinations will be a combination of question types, including fill-in-the-blank, multiple choice, true/false, short answer, and short essay. Every attempt is made by the course coordinator to construct an examination that is a fair balance of the material presented. The specific format of each examination will be discussed by the course coordinator in advance of each examination. Grading Scale:
