"Dad always thought laughter was the best medicine, which I guess is why several of us died of tuberculosis". (Deep Thoughts by Jack Handy)
Bug Trivia: 850 million year old fossil chain of cyanobacteria (Paleolyngbia) from Bitter Springs chert of northern Australia. Cyanobacteria are responsible for the production of oxygen in the primordial atmosphere; they've been around for 3.5 BY!!! They are still important today- one species, Lyngbia majuscula, produces a compound, Curacin A, which has significant anticancer activity, etc. (Thanx to UC Paleontology Museum for use of the photo)
