Lab Information

This is the first course in a two-course sequence of calculus-based physics for science and engineering majors.

We will cover roughly the first half of the textbook by Sanny & Moebs, the first 21 chapters. This includes Mechanics (we may or may not cover fluid mechanics, depending on time), Waves, and Thermodynamics. The main goals are to develop an understanding of the basic principles of physics and of how they relate to the physical world, and to learn problem solving skills, including applications of calculus to the solution of physical problems.
