We are grateful to the Ole Miss alumni who have expressed interest in serving as volunteers for the presidential debate. While security and liability policies restrict the engagement of volunteers to current faculty, staff, and students, the university is encouraging its alumni to be a part of this historic event by participating in debate-related activities on campus or through a local alumni club. Alumni may also partake of the exciting events planned by the City of Oxford for the week of the debate.
Other ways UM alumni can get involved include:
Debate Watch Parties
Large projection screens will be set up in the Grove and on the Oxford Square for individuals interested in watching a live feed of the debate. The Ole Miss Alumni Association is also encouraging its clubs to organize debate watch parties. Please contact your local club president if you would like to host a debate watch party or to find out if such an event is taking place in your area.
Other Club Activities
The university is encouraging local alumni clubs to get involved in spreading the news that UM is hosting the first presidential debate. Your club president can request debate-related materials such as yard signs, bumper stickers, and t-shirts to distribute to members.
For additional debate-related questions, alumni should e-mail email@example.com. We will do our best to respond to you in a timely manner.
