Student Tickets
Distribution Plan
![]()
Members of the Presidential Debate Student Steering Committee have devised a plan for distribution of tickets to the first presidential debate to be held at the University of Mississippi on September 26, 2008. Students may obtain tickets in one of three ways:
- Through a lottery based on participation in debate-related events August 29 through September 19 (DEADLINE PASSED)
- Through a lottery based on campus leadership, scholarship, and campus activity participation
- By winning one of the debate-related contests. Winners of the OMazing Games, Quiz Bowl, Debate Class Competition, and Daily Mississippian Policy Proposal will receive tickets.
Participation in Debate-Related Events Lottery (Passport Program)
Entries to the debate-related events lottery may be obtained by picking up a Passport to the Debate Card in the Dean of Students Office (Union 422), and having it stamped at approved debate-related events. (A list of approved debate-related activities is available.) At each event there will be a Passport table where students must have their Passports stamped at the conclusion of the event. Each stamp on a Passport will entitle the student to one entry in the lottery. Students will be limited to five entries each. Seventy-five percent of the allotted debate tickets will be distributed by this lottery.
