Dan has professional experience as a litigation attorney, where he defended accountants among other professionals in malpractice/negligence lawsuits. He also has worked as a CPA in the Baltimore-Washington area. Prior thereto, he served as the assistant controller for a food distributor.

Dan’s research interests are in the areas of lean accounting and operations, accounting-malpractice litigation, juror decision-making, and fraud. Dan earned the Patterson School of Accountancy’s 2011 Doctoral Teaching Award.
