Kelly L. Williams, CPA, is a Ph.D. student in the Patterson School of Accountancy, pursuing a minor in Management Information Systems. She holds a MBA and Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, TN. Prior to pursuing her doctoral degree, Kelly worked in public accounting, specializing in automobile dealerships, and in private accounting, specializing in risk and insurance. She has held instructor and lead instructor positions for Becker Professional Education. Kelly was awarded the Graduate Achievement Award for Ph.D. Program in Accountancy in 2011. Her research interest is XBRL.
