text Spring 2009 Honors Day Awards in Applied Sciences
   
text Recognition of the outstanding students in the School of Applied Sciences continues to grow. This year the school is pleased to announce that three of our students were selected to receive the Taylor Medal Award. The Taylor Medal is one of the most prestigious academic honors that undergraduate students can receive at The University of Mississippi. The 2009 School of Applied Sciences Taylor Medalists are Ruth Ann Cooper and Lauren Furr, Communication Sciences and Disorders majors, and Katherine Sullivan, a Dietetics and Nutrition major. Congratulations to these students on this meritorious achievement.

IMPORTANT NOTE CONCERNING DEGREE REQUIREMENTS: The School of Applied Sciences requires students with previous college level course work to have a minimum GPA of 2.0 at The University of Mississippi as well as overall (UM GPA averaged with transfer GPA) in order to declare one of our majors. We also require new students to complete the degree requirements that are in effect on the date that the student declares the degree program.
