Senior from Alabama is first recipient of Park and Recreation Management Scholarship

Maggie Haynes, a senior park and recreation management major, is the first recipient of the Park and Recreation Management Endowment Scholarship. Park and recreation management is a division of the Department of Health, Exercise Science and Recreation Management.

A native of Fairhope, Ala., Haynes is on the Chancellor’s List and is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, National Recreation and Park Association, and Golden Key academic honor society.

The Park and Recreation Management Scholarship is awarded annually by its advisory board to a park and recreation management major who has shown evidence of academic success as well as leadership ability and service to the park and recreation management profession.
