Oxford MS — Lauren Casady is a senior in the undergraduate program for Communication Sciences and Disorders with an emphasis in Spanish.
Laruen is a member of the Ole Miss Ambassadors, the Pride of the South Marching band, and the Sigma Alpha Iota music fraternity. She is a Luckyday Scholar, as well as a member of the Gamma Beta Phi Society, the Sigma Alpha Lambda Honor Society, and the National Student Speech-Language Hearing Association. As a UM student, Lauren traveled to England and the Dominican Republic; she recently had the chance to use her Spanish language skills while studying abroad in Costa Rica.
Upon receiving her Bachelors of Science in May, 2014, Lauren will pursue a doctoral degree in the field of Audiology, with the intent to become a clinician.
The daughter of Jeffrey and Janna Casady of Raleigh, NC and of Chris and Shelley Distler of Macon, MO, Lauren is the oldest of six siblings. She enjoys running, cycling, and her studies.
