depARTment of art FACILITIES
ART HISTORY The department’s primary lecture halls for the teaching of art history courses are located on the first floor of Meek Hall in Meek Hall Auditorium and Meek Hall Room 120. These rooms feature new infrastructure for digital projection capabilities, in addition to traditional dual 35mm slide projection. Art History courses are also conducted in the Skipwith Teaching Museum, and the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College. Additional campus facilities providing a variety of pedagogical support for art history courses include the University Museum, J.D. Williams Library, the Faculty Technology Development Center, the Visual Resource Center, the print collection of the Southern Graphics Council, Gallery 130 in Meek Hall, and the department’s permanent collection of art.
