	people v faculty/staff graduate students alumni visiting artists	Albert Sperath Adjunct Assistant Professor & Director of The University Museums MFA, The University of Nebraska BFA, Ohio University email: asperath@olemiss.edu After earning a BFA at Ohio University and an MFA at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Sperath pursued a career in museum work and continued to create art. After working his way through the museum ranks and attaining curator status, he organized many exhibitions ranging from traditional crafts to painting. The retrospective (organized in 2000) for Ellis Wilson, a little-known black artist from western Kentucky, was accompanied by the book, The Art of Ellis Wilson, authored by Sperath and published by the University Press of Kentucky. In addition, Kentucky Educational Television produced a one-hour biography of Wilson which is still periodically broadcast today. Sperath is the recipient of two artists' fellowships, one from Kentucky and one from Mississippi.
