  Photography/Imaging Arts

Photography/Imaging Arts is offered as an emphasis area of study for only undergraduate students.

Overview
Photography courses are based around both traditional and digital photographic techniques.

Working in a traditional darkroom, imaging arts students learn how to shoot, develop, and print black-and-white photographs. They also learn digital photography and digital video, which are offered in our newest Imaging Arts Computer Lab. Programs like Adobe Photoshop and iMovie are used extensively in this class.

Students also learn the technical basics of photography like F-stops, aperature, depth of field, exposure, etc.

Brooke White, Associate Professor, is head of this area of study.
