	resources v umdid.org university museum study abroad outreach the graduate school office of admissions ole miss oxford, ms local galleries	UMDID.org University of Mississippi Digital Image Database http://www.umdid.org/art In Spring 2004, The Department and Art and The Visual Resource Center commenced the Department's Digital Image Database (UMDID) initiative with the goal of creating a database containting images used for teaching art history. After a year into the digitization process, the results became a searchable FileMakerPro database containing JPEG images for classroom projection. In Spring 2007 after over 3 years into the project, the UMDID was launched to the web. UMDID.org/art is now accessible to the department and faculty. The UMDID contains over 30,000 digital art history images from all different cultures, time periods, and civilizations throughout the ages. It is an invaluable tool for the department's researchers, professors, and students.
