Summary of Registration/Fee Payment Process (Intersessions, Full Summer, 1st Summer, and 2nd Summer 2008)

Phase 1 Registration Period

Phase 2 Registration Period
- Intersession- May 1 - May 11

Phase 3 Registration Period*

- Full Term- May 27 - June 2

- August Intersession - July 28 - July 29

Everyone is encouraged to register during Phase 1 as there are benefits to you as well as to the University.

You benefit because it costs less to register during Phase 1. You also stand a better chance of getting the classes that you really want.

By registering as soon as possible during Phase 1, you enable the University to determine, at a much earlier time, when to add sections to those high demand courses.

Phase 1 Registration Period

Phase 2 Registration Period
- $50 (waived for new students- first enrollment period only)

Phase 3 Registration Period
- $100 (waived for new students- first enrollment period only)

As an incentive to encourage students to register early, the University will waive the registration fee for students who register during Phase 1. The fee is also waived if you are a newly admitted student registering at Ole Miss for the first time.

The registration fee is $50 during Phase 2 and $100 during Phase 3.

If you register during Phase 1, your tuition and fees will appear on your April 30 (or May 31 for 2nd Term & June 30 for August Intersession) monthly Bursar Statement.

If you register during Phase 2 or 3, the tuition and fees will appear on the next monthly statement. Please note that the payment is due before this satement is generated. See "Payment Due Dates" below.

1.5% monthly service fee will accrue on any unpaid balance

Payments may be made during the semester

Payment dates for tuition and fees are May 15 for Intersession, Full Term, and 1st Term, June 15 for 2nd Term, and July 15 for August Intersession.

A monthly service fee of 1.5% will accrue on any unpaid balance and will appear on your monthly Bursar Statement.

Payments can be made during the semester; however, to avoid holds on future registration periods, tuition and fees must be paid in full and other charges cannont be more than 30 days old.

Up to five days prior to First Day of Classes:
- Direct Deposit to Students’ Checking Account
  OR
- Checks Mailed to Students’ billing Address

Subsequent Disbursements are processed each work day.

For direct deposit service, you must sign a Student Direct Deposit Authorization Agreement. The form is available for printing or you can pick up the form at any teller window in the Bursar's Office.

If you want your check mailed, please be sure your billing address is correct through your WebID.

The University offers two options for receiving your excess financial aid funds: by direct deposit to your checking account (the preferred way) or by mail to your billing address.

If you choose direct deposit, we will send an electronic file to your bank up to five days prior to the first day of classes. Your funds will available on the next business day.

If you choose to receive your check by mail, we will mail your check to your billing address up to five days prior to the first day of classes. However, unlike direct deposit, we cannot guarantee when you will receive your check.

Subsequent disbursements will be processed daily.

Email is the primary way the University communicates with students.

Students are expected to use their University assigned email address.

The University is placing more emphasis on this means of communication. Therefore, it is imperative that you check your University email address early and often.
