Student Employment with Campus Recreation
The Department of Campus Recreation depends on Ole Miss students to assist with many of the programs and services we offer. We also know that working with the Campus Recreation is considered by many students as a "perk" when it comes to working. The opportunity to meet not only other Ole Miss students, but faculty, staff, their families, and campus visitors through participating in various programs or facility use is very rewarding.
Although we use students throughout the day, most of our student work is during the late afternoon and evening hours. After application and interviewing with the appropriate staff members, students go through an in-service training and orientation program. Schedules are established based on availability. Student wages are based on the position and experience.
If interested in working with the Department of Campus Recreation, please drop by the Turner Center, Room 214 and introduce yourself.
Students are used as:
Intramural Contest Officials, Intramural Supervisors, Building Supervisors, Lifeguards, Swimming Instructors, OMOD Trip Leaders, OMOD Office Staff, Fitness Instructors, Personal Trainers, and Group Exercise Instructors
