Summer Session Group X Schedule

If working out alone is not motivating you enough, join us for one of our group exercise classes offered each week. A variety of disciplines such as yoga, cross-training, step aerobics, kickboxing and deep-water aquatic fitness are available. All of our classes are voluntary and free of charge to students and campus recreation members. Just present your ID with a Fit 67 sticker each time you come to class, and make sure you arrive early-the classes fill to capacity and are first come, first served.

* All Group Exercise classes are free for students and Turner Center members. Participants should present a student or Turner Center ID card with a Fit67 sticker in order to be admitted into class. Patrons arriving more than 5 minutes after class starts will not be admitted.

* Water bottles and personal towels are welcome in all classes, and are required for Indoor Cycling classes.

* Classes end for June session on June 22 and resume for July session on July 2. There will be NO classes held June 22 - July 1.

Group Exercise Class Descriptions

Abs2theCORE ~ A 30-minute strengthening and toning class for your hips, lower back, and abdominal's.

Abs, Arms, Butts & Gutts ~ A total body circuit training class with lots of cardio tossed in; perfect for the intermediate participant.

Beginner Kickboxing ~ A 45-minute cardio class designed to teach the fundamentals of kickboxing. Special emphasis on good form; class intensity will gradually increase over the course of the semester.

Beginner Tae Bo ~ A hot new cardio workout based on Billy Blanks' DVD fitness regime; combines the best of basic Tae Kwon Do with beginner dance and kickboxing moves. An excellent choice for novice and intermediate exercisers-or anyone looking to try something new!

Beginner Yoga ~ Everyone should experience the new, yet old, wave of fitness. A peaceful class geared towards developing quality of movement, increased coordination, flexibility and strength. A great stress-reliever; the beginner class lasts only 45 minutes and is an excellent quick-fit for those with very strenuous daily schedules!

Bikini Bootcamp ~ An intense, total body sculpting and toning class incorporating cardio, resistance training and toning to keep you trim this swimsuit season.

Bodysculpting ~ A cardiovascular and total-body toning workout, using balls, bands, weights, and steps. Designed to meet the fitness needs of faculty, staff, community members and senior citizens. Beginners welcome.

Indoor Cycling ~ An invigorating cardiovascular workout on our new Tomahawk bikes. Beginner classes (Level 1) will include orientation to the bike and safety instruction. Advanced (Level 2) classes will offer a workout like no other. Intermediate classes (Level 1.5) will incorporate both beginner and advanced moves in a workout designed to challenge most participants-but without the overkill. Remember to bring a water bottle!

Kickboxing ~ An intense cardio class designed to teach the basics of kickboxing, improve muscle tone & cardiovascular fitness, and burn fat calories!

Pilates ~ An amazing core workout. Targets abdominals, back, hips, and shoulders, to increase muscle tone and flexibility.

Power Kick ~ Blast fat and tone up with Power Kick! This 1-hr. class combines advanced aerobic kickboxing combinations into a total body workout like no other.

Water Aerobics ~ A great cardiovascular workout with ZERO impact. Class combines cardio segments with strengthening and toning exercises. Can't swim? No problem-flotation belts will be provided on deepwater days!

Yoga ~ Everyone should experience the new, yet old, wave of fitness. A peaceful class geared towards developing quality of movement, increased coordination, flexibility and strength. A great stress-reliever!
