Taylor Medalists

The Marcus Elvis Taylor Memorial scholarship medals are awarded to students nominated for outstanding scholarship in a particular field combined with superior work in all other subjects. The number awarded annually may not be more than one percent of the student body. Taylor medals have been awarded by Ole Miss since 1904.

AIChE Memphis Section Outstanding Senior Award

American Institute of Chemists Award

The American Institute of Chemists Award in Chemical Engineering is awarded annually to the senior in chemical engineering with the most outstanding performance in chemistry courses as evaluated by the chemical engineering faculty.

Efton L. Park, Jr. Memorial Scholarship

The Efton L. Park, Jr., Memorial Scholarship in Chemical Engineering was established by friends and relatives of the late Dr. Efton L. Park, Jr., Chair of the Department of Chemical Engineering from 1978 to 1981. The scholarship is awarded to deserving Chemical Engineering students (typically after their Junior year) who demonstrate academic achievement in the field of Chemical Engineering.

W. Blake Davis Scholarship

The W. Blake Davis Scholarship in Chemical Engineering was established by the friends and colleagues of the late Mr. Davis (Class of 1985). The award is made annually to an outstanding chemical engineering student with preference given to community college transfer students. The recipient is chosen by the faculty of the Department of Chemical Engineering.

R.E. Aven

Russell E. Aven Scholarship

The Russell E. Aven Chemical Engineering Scholarship was established in 1996 on the retirement of Dr. Russell P. Aven to honor his many years of teaching and service to the School of Engineering.

John Robert Boswell Memorial Scholarship

The John Robert Boswell Memorial Scholarship in Chemical Engineering was established in January 2000 by Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Boswell in memory of their son, a 1984 graduate. The scholarship is awarded annually to a senior in chemical engineering demonstrating outstanding academic ability and financial need.
