The undergraduate curriculum in chemical engineering emphasizes thorough coverage of the physical sciences and engineering, including a background of civil, electrical, and mechanical as well as chemical engineering fundamentals.
The sample curriculum shown here is only an example. It shows the requirements and recommended sequencing, but may not be applicable to all students. Additional information on engineering degree requirements is available from the School of Engineering. Official curriculum guidelines are given in the current Ole Miss Undergraduate Catalog.
A life sciences version of this curriculum has been developed for those students who plan to attend medical school after receiving their B.S.Ch.E. Differences primarily affect the electives and the chemistry laboratory sequence.
