Research Projects
My projects tend to concentrate mostly in the area
of Chemical Process Dynamics and Control. I'm interested in the
relationships between the physical structure of a
process and its dynamics. The goal is to develop control structures that
are naturally self-regulating because they take advantage
of the configuration of the process.
Teaching
I currently
teach Introduction to Chemical Engineering
to first semester students, both Transport Phenomena and Advanced Transport Phenomena II,
our course in Process Fluid Dynamics and Heat
Transfer, and the Senior Undergraduate Seminar and
the Graduate Research Seminar.
In the past I have taught Material Balances and Stoichiometry, Process Control, and Engineering Thermodynamics.
And by the way, I'm responsible for these web pages.
