To be admitted to a graduate degree program in full standing, a student must have completed a B.S. degree in chemistry with an average grade of B and must have achieved an acceptable score on the general and subject tests of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). An applicant who does not meet these requirements, but who presents evidence indicating the ability to perform satisfactorily in a graduate degree program, may be admitted provisionally until specified conditions are satisfied. Students who have completed an undergraduate degree program in disciplines such as biology, engineering, physics, pharmacology, or pharmacy, and who are willing to fulfill the necessary prerequisites for full admission to the Graduate School, also are encouraged to apply. Applications for admission to a graduate program may be submitted at any time, but it would be to a studentís advantage to do so during the fall semester or early in the spring semester. Application forms are now processed online.
