At Sea, Lieutenant Gonzalez served with Naval Mobile
Construction Battalion SEVEN with deployments to
Ashore, Lieutenant Gonzalez served with the Public
Works Department,
Lieutenant Gonzalez’s first Commissioned Officer
assignment was with the Engineering Field Activity Chesapeake (EFACHES) where
he was the Assistant Resident Officer in Charge of Construction for the Naval
Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Headquarters Project. While at EFACHES he was responsible for the
efficient management in the construction of over one million square feet of
office space and an eight story Parking Garage.
Lieutenant Gonzalez’s next assignment was with the Naval Sea Systems
Command (NAVSEA 00T) as the Pollution Prevention Program Manager. His many successful accomplishments include
receiving the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Environmental Award and the
Commander, Naval Sea Systems Command, Environmental Excellence Award for FY
02. Lieutenant Gonzalez is currently
serving with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion SEVEN for the second time, as
a Company Officer.
Lieutenant Gonzalez’s personal decorations include the
Seabee Combat Warfare (SCW), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and
Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards), Navy Unit Commendation, Navy
Meritorious Unit Commendation (three awards), Navy “E” Ribbon (two awards),
Navy Good Conduct Medal (two awards), National Defense Service Medal, Southwest
Asia Service Medal (two awards), Humanitarian Service Medal (two awards), Navy
Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (four awards), Coast Guard Special Operations
Service Ribbon, Kuwait Liberation Service Medal (Emirate of Kuwait), Navy
Expert Rifle Medal and Navy Expert Pistol Medal.
