Dear Ole Miss Civil Engineering Alumni and Friends,

The Ole Miss School of Engineering is offering graduate courses leading to
Master of Science degrees at DeSoto/Tupelo campuses, for part time, off
campus students.

The program was unofficially launched last fall and we have about 10
students enrolled with degree or non-degree status pursuing environmental
engineering or civil engineering Master degrees. This fall we shall
officially launch the program and recruitment is being conducted. On June
22, I will visit the DeSoto campus to present an open house explaining the
admission and degree requirements. An announcement leaflet is attached.

If you reside in Memphis, DeSoto, and Tupelo areas, I appreciate your
assistance in spreading the news. People interested in pursuing an Ole Miss
Master Degree in civil engineering or other engineering area are welcome. We
hope that the success of the off-campus engineering graduate program can
serve the industries in the northern Mississippi areas well and enhance the
reputation of the school of engineering.
