Dr. K.P. George has been a civil engineering faculty
member since 1963. His primary teaching activities are in the areas
of geotechnical engineering and pavement design/management. He is
an internationally recognized expert in the field of pavement life
calculation and management systems. He has consistently been one
of the most successful researchers at Ole Miss over the years, having
been able to attract and maintain a high level of external funding
for his research activities. He is currently involved with the Federal
Highway Administration in planning methodologies for infrastructure
rehabilitation. He was selected the Outstanding Faculty Member in
the School of Engineering in 1996-97. Dr. George retired from his
teaching post in 2004, after 41 years of service, and continues
to work as a Research Professor.
