CENTRO Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies in Rome
Administered by a consortium of American universities, including Duke University. Semester or year-long study program stationed in Rome, with trips to sites in Sicily and elsewhere in Italy. Courses in ancient Greek, Latin, ancient history, culture and literature; topographical study of Rome

The American Academy in Rome
Privately funded research institute in Athens. Two summer study programs each year: Classical Summer School introduces students to the city of Rome, with trips to important Roman and Etruscan sites near Rome; Summer Program in Archaeology includes three weeks in Rome and four weeks at an excavation.

GREECE


American School of Classical Studies in Athens
Privately funded research institute in Athens. Summer study program (2 sessions each summer) ca 7 weeks long; extensive travel through Greece and topography of Athens; students meet archaeologists and specialists in the fields of Classics and Archaeology. A serious program for undergraduate and graduate students considering a career in Classics.

Arcadia College Center for Education Abroad
Study abroad component of Arcadia College in Pennsylvania. Arcadia offers semester, year-long, or summer programs. A serious, well-run program for undergraduates interested in Classics and Archaeology. Students live in apartments in an interesting Athenian neighborhood. Travel is part of all the programs, including study tours of Turkey.

College Year in Athens (CYA)
A well established study abroad program based in Athens; founded ca 40 years ago by a Greek couple who wanted American students to experience ancient and modern Greece. CYA offers semester, year-long, or summer programs. A serious, well-run program for undergraduates interested in Classics and Archaeology. Students live in apartments in an interesting Athenian neighborhood. Travel is part of all the programs, including study tours of Turkey.
