The department possesses Macintosh and PC computers, an Ibycus
computer together with laser printers and other computer equipment. The computers are linked by fiber optic cable to the university computer
system for e-mail and Internet access. Most computers are equipped with
cd-readers. A variety of software is available including Pandora, Netscape
and Thesaurus Linguae Graecae, the Database of Classical Bibliography,
Packard Humanities Institute and Perseus project 2.0 cds which provide
access to Greek and Latin texts, maps, Greek art, a Greek-English lexicon,
etc.
