NSSLHA MISSION STATEMENT

"The mission of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) is to benefit its members by continually improving its services through supporting, promoting, and advocating for the highest quality preparation of professionals in audiology, speech-language pathology, and speech and hearing science." Founded in 1972, the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) is the national organization for master's candidates and undergraduate students interested in the study of normal and disordered human communication behavior. NSSLHA is the only official national student association recognized by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). NSSLHA has approximately 15,000 members with chapters in more than 285 colleges and universities nationwide. NSSLHA also has member representation on the policymaking body of ASHA and on selected committees and boards of ASHA. Please contact any NSSLHA officer with questions regarding membership.
