The School of Education (SOE) is the dedicated organizational unit of UM that
is responsible for the preparation of teachers and other professional personnel
for schools and related agencies at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
The unit was initially accredited in 1954 and has been continuously accredited since that time.
During the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education accreditation visit in March 2007,
all standards were met without conditions or areas for improvement.
