The MASTER'S DEGREE program in literacy education is designed to meet the needs of inservice teachers in two ways: (1) to become literacy coaches/literacy leaders in K-12 schools and (2) to become more specialized literacy teachers in K-12 classrooms.

DOCTORAL DEGREE candidates progress in their selected programs with continued emphasis
on national board standards, conducting research and further development of leadership
skills. Candidates are encouraged to conduct research that results in professional
