Bio: Amy E. Wells is an associate professor of Higher Education and a UM Faculty Research Fellow for 2006-07. She has professional experience in student affairs administration and fundraising. Her research interests include higher education history; specifically the development of southern research universities and the collegiate extra curriculum. She earned her Ph.D. in Higher Education from the University of Kentucky, her masters degree in Higher Education Administration from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Transylvania University.
