Bio: Dr. Gauthier has taught in public schools at both the elementary and secondary levels, in addition to serving as an educational diagnostician. Before accepting his present position at the University of Mississippi, he was a member of the faculty at East Central University (OK) and the University of Houston. His main research focus is Reading Comprehension, an area in which he has published a number of articles in professional journals, including The Reading Teacher, Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy, Intervention in School and Clinic, and Reading Horizons.
