Bio: LeAnn Carter serves as an elementary education instructor in The Department of Curriculum and Instruction. She received her Doctor of Education Degree from The University of Mississippi. Dr. Carter is a member of Phi Delta Kappa, the American Association of University Women, the International Reading Association, National Council of Teachers of English, Phi Kappa Phi, the National Science Teachers Association, and various other organizations. She received the University Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa’s outstanding graduate assistant award and outstanding graduate student research award. Dr. Carter has previously served as a literacy coach, reading specialist, early intervention teacher, second grade teacher, and third grade teacher.
