Faculty / Staff
The Engineering School has an outstanding family of world class faculty. They have accomplished numerous achievements, receiving recognition from the University and their peers across the world.
Eight faculty (18%) are Fellows of their respective Professional Societies (IEEE, IEE, ASME, ASCE, AIAA).
Sixteen faculty (36%) have served in some editorial capacity in various Professional Journals. In particular, seven are Editor-in-Chief and six are Associate Editors.
Five faculty have received the Society of Automotive Engineers Ralph R. Teetor Education Award.
One faculty member has received the ASME region XI John "Jack" Shortall Outstanding Faculty Advisor Award.
At the University level, two faculty are holders of F.A.P. Barnard Distinguished Professorship, five received the University of Mississippi Outstanding Faculty Achievement Award, one faculty received the Elsie M. Hood Outstanding Teacher Award, and one received the FRIST Student Service Award.
Our faculty have also received numerous best paper awards at national conferences.
