Co-Ops and InternshipsAll Ole Miss Engineering students in good standing academically are eligible to participate in the Ole Miss Engineering Co-op Program. To register, please complete an application form and include it with your resume when applying for co-op jobs. Once an awarded engineering co-op job is approved by your department chair, you will receive administrative and academic support through the Engineering Dean's Office. Please notify coordinator, Marni Kendricks, of your co-op job and provide a copy of the application form. You will be enrolled in one of the courses in the CO-OP series for academic credit while working full time, which will be equated to full time enrollment in school. Engineering students are strongly encouraged to register with The University of Mississippi Career Center to receive professional placement assistance for co-op, part-time, and permanent opportunities. You might also want to visit the web site www.tech-interns.com, a NASA-ASEE sponsored site listing internships around the country. Temporary employment possibilities at NASA Ames, undergrad through faculty can be viewed at http://edassoc.arc.nasa.gov/ The Engineering Dean's Office hosts seminars throughout the year to inform students of co-op opportunities and answer questions about the program. The Fall '07 seminar provided a list of companies currently seeking engineering students for employment. This site must be accessed from on-campus (the OleMiss.edu domain).
