Wireless Access in Engineering

There are several different wireless networks within the school. To access the wireless network In Carrier Hall, you will have to register your computer MAC address with the HELP Desk in Weir Hall (5222) before you will be allowed to log on to the "Engineering" wireless access points on both the first and second floor of Carrier Hall. To access the wireless network in Anderson Hall, you will need to contact the chemical Engineering Office for first and second floor wireless access, and you will need to contact the Electrical engineering Office for access on the third floor of Anderson. Weir Hall (Computer Science) is also equipped with wireless networking capabilities. Students should be able to access the wireless network from anywhere in Weir. You will need a valid WebID to access the wireless network. Our Cisco access points support both the 802.11a and 802.11b protocols. Of course, an 802.11g card can access the 802.11b portion of the network.
