Dietetics and Nutrition

Program

Graduates from the Dietetics and Nutrition program have many career options. Individuals completing this program find employment opportunities in hospitals and health care facilities, schools and universities, government and community agencies, business and industry, and private practice settings. The curriculum in the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) integrates human nutrition, biochemistry, anatomy and physiology, food science and food service systems management, business, and social sciences into a comprehensive program. Dietetics students have opportunities to participate in district, state, and national dietetic meetings and conferences. The DPD was granted full accreditation in April 2005, by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetic Education of the American Dietetic Association, 120 South Riverside Plaza, Suite 2000, Chicago, IL 60606-6995, (312) 899-4876, (800) 877-1600.
