Mississippi Tuition Assistance Grants

A grant of $500 per year is available for freshmen and sophomores and $1,000 per year for juniors and seniors who are Mississippi residents. MTAG is prorated for those students who receive a Pell Grant; therefore, students who receive the maximum pell award will not be eligible for MTAG. One-year residency and full-time enrollment are required. Entering freshman must have a minimum  ACT score of 15 or equivalent SAT and a 2.5 GPA.  Applications are available from high school counselors or from the Mississippi Student Financial Aid Office in Jackson. All requirements must be completed by the September 15th deadline. Renewal requires submission of an application each year, continued full-time status, and maintenance of a 2.5 college GPA.
