Community College Transfer Student Scholarships
The deadline for the 2008 - 2009 Community College Transfer Student Scholarship Application was April 1, 2008, which has now passed. The 2009 - 2010 Community College Transfer Student Scholarship application will be available beginning October, 2008. If you have questions, please call our office at 800-891-4596. Community College Transfer Students may be eligible for scholarships offered by the University of Mississippi.Community College Leadership Scholarship is awarded to community college transfer students with a 3.0 transfer GPA or higher, at least 48 transferable community college credit hours, and an exemplary record of leadership and service. Students must complete the University of Mississippi admissions application. Contact the Community College Admissions Counselor to apply at 662-915-7226 or 1-800-Ole-Miss (Mississippi Only). Students must be enrolled full-time to receive this award. This award is $1,000 for the first year only.Community College Excellence Scholarship is awarded to community college transfer students who are Mississippi residents with: a 3.0 transfer GPA or higher, at least 48 transferable community college credit hours, and an exemplary record of leadership and service. Students must complete the University of Mississippi admissions application and submit a resume to the Admissions Office. Further information may be obtained from the Community College Admissions Counselor. Students must be enrolled full-time to receive this award.Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship is awarded to students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, have at least 48 transferable credit hours, and a 3.5 transfer GPA or higher. PTK must be indicated on the official transcript or students may bring a copy of the PTK membership card to the Office of Financial Aid. Students must be enrolled full-time to receive this award.Departmental scholarships may also be available.
