Nothing is more exciting — and more
daunting—than determining performances for each series
that we offer in the Ford Center. Seemingly endless choices,
together with financial considerations and feedback
from our audiences and patrons, come together to result
in a season that we hope will be well-received. The Ford
Series continues with performances from Broadway to big band and comedy.
The Artist Series continues its 70-year-old tradition of presenting the
very finest of the performing arts.
We add two new types of programming for this year. We add quality
family-friendly programs to be enjoyed by young and old. We are pleased to
offer an encore performance of the always popular Golden Dragon Acrobats
as one of these programs. We also introduce an exciting initiative called 108
Ford Center. This series of performances and related presentations is
designed to inspire a deeper understanding of the performing arts and perhaps
challenge us all to see the world in which we live from a slightly different
perspective.
Your involvement is key to our success. I encourage you to become
involved in all of the programs that we offer and to let us know what you
think and what you would like to experience in the Ford Center. The live
performing arts, in many ways, is the highest form of human achievement
and accomplishment. Expect the unexpected in the Ford Center, where
everything happens.
See you at the theater!
