Born in New Orleans, La. in 1970, Louis E. Bourgeois began publishing at an early age. His childhood and early adulthood became the basis for his memoir The Gar Diaries. His poetry and short stories have appeared in numerous publications. He graduated from Louisiana State University in 1996, and in 2002 he was the first to receive the Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing offered by the University of Mississippi. Bourgeois cofounded VOX Press, Inc., an independent literary magazine, in 2004, and currently serves as its Executive Director.
The collection contains published works featuring Bourgeois’ poetry and short stories. The collection also contains a VOX Press DVD entitled, “Lady in the Boxcar.”
