Henry Conn Dalton was born in Rienzi, MS in 1909. He earned a B.A. in English from Union University in 1930. From 1930-39 he taught English and mathematics in teh Alcorn County high schools. He also taught piano. From 1939-1969 he workied as a clerk in the Corinth post office. His first book of poetry, Hill Born
, won the Kaleidograph Book Publication Contest and cam out in 1954.
Collection consists of correspondence, various manuscripts, documents, and ephemera related to the life of Henry Dalton created from 1930-1977.
